"As the CEO I never wanted to be, I make my contribution. We make the earth our only shareholder. I am dead serious about saving the planet." With those words, Yvon Chouinard, founder of the sustainable outdoor brand Patagonia, motivated the decision to "give away" his company in order to combat climate change.
